'Won us this game': United fans hail one underrated hero of Fulham win - not De Gea

Man United's win over Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-final might not have happened if the visitors hadn't imploded late in the second half.

A momentary blackout got both their main goalscorer Aleksandar Mitrovic and head coach Marco Silva sent off.

It started, however, with Willian saving Jadon Sancho's shot on the goal line and penalised with a red card and a penalty.

Minutes after that, Sancho added a pre-assist for Marcel Sabitzer's match-winning goal.

The 22-year-old did not have a great game otherwise but contributed to the biggest turning points in the victory at Old Trafford. For that, he is recognised by some Man United fans on social media.

Some of them were half-joking, but some were quite serious in thanking Sancho for this performance.

Pryde: "Jadon Sancho won us the game. Never doubt him, he just needs to get his confidence back."

Casey Evans: "Sancho playing 4D chess here, could have scored easy but he saw the double red card and pen play"

The United Stand: "Jadon Sancho has single-handedly gotten three people sent off. What a man."

Frank: "Jadon Sancho won this football match, absolutely cracking second half. The big players STEP up in the big moments."

utdrobbo: "The composure to win the penalty after rounding the keeper resulting in a Fulham collapse & then to perfectly set up Luke Shaw to assist the potential winner. THAT is Jadon Sancho."

Charlie: "Absolutely convinced Sancho’s time will come at Manchester United. I think he’s an unbelievable player, even when he doesn’t directly contribute to a goal, think his understanding of the game is excellent. Still got so much hope for him."
