Varane explains Man United shirt number choice
There was a special reason to Raphael Varane taking the no.19 shirt after moving to Manchester United from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021.
The Frenchman told MUTV: "The no. 19 was my first number when I arrived at Madrid, so I wanted to do the same thing in another great club."
Chelsea game rescheduled
Man United's trip to Chelsea in the Premier League in October has been moved after the game was picked up to be broadcasted live on Sky Sports.
Instead of Sunday, October 23, the Stamford Bridge clash will now take place on Saturday, 22 October. Official kick-off time will be announced later on.

Man United will have a buy-back clause for their academy graduate who has agreed a five-year contract with the Toffees.

"He just gets on with it all day. He’s there for 90 minutes, always on his toes, and it’s up to you to do something about it. That’s why I say Martinez. To come back from those first two games when he got a lot of stick, it takes a lot of character."
