Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund have finally reached an agreement over a transfer for Jadon Sancho - and it's led to all sorts of rumours flying about.
A fan account shared a tweet stating that The Athletic journalist David Ornstein has confirmed Sancho will wear the iconic No.7 shirt.
However, the journalist himself refuted the claim and shared the following update: "It’s possible — that was agreed in 2020 if the deal had gone through then, but it’s unconfirmed this time round and the reference has been removed from our piece."
It's interesting that Sancho could've gotten the No.7 had he joined last year. Instead, the historic number was given to Edinson Cavani.
