Kylian Mbappe officially confirmed he would leave PSG as a free agent at the end of the season in an emotional video.
It means that Mbappe could join any club as a free agent in the summer, including Liverpool.
But Jurgen Klopp already addressed all Mbappe to Liverpool transfer rumours back in August.
"We laugh about it," Klopp said in a chat with Sky Germany.
"I can say that I think he's a really good player but the financial conditions don't suit us at all. I wouldn't like to ruin the story now... but as far as I know, there's nothing to it. It's possible that someone else from the club is preparing something and wants to surprise me... that hasn't happened in the eight years that I've been here. That would be the first time," Klopp added.
It's an open secret that Mbappe will sign for Real Madrid in the summer. According to Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe and Real Madrid completed their agreement back in February.
