Liverpool XI under Arne Slot in 2024/25 with just one change from this year — not striker

Arne Slot is expected to take over at Liverpool in the summer, succeeding Jurgen Klopp. The Reds are reportedly not planning to spend big in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool are said to be looking to sign a new centre-back but no particular players have been reliably linked. So at the moment there is no point speculating about transfers.

What we can say for sure is that we'll see one supremely talented player feature more than this year. We're talking about Stefan Bajcetic, who's missed a large part of this campaign through injury.

The Spaniard was the shining light for the Reds in the gloomy days of the 2022/23 season. He's the full package: he can tackle, pass, run and score — at the age of 19.

Arne Slot has a proven track record of developing youngsters, so we expect Bajcetic to fully blossom under the new manager. Another world-class talent, Fabio Carvalho, will also hopefully benefit from working with the Dutchman.

So here is what the Reds' XI next season could look like: with Bajcetic but no new transfers. Note that Slot prefers a 4-2-3-1 shape to Klopp's 4-3-3 so Alexis Mac Allister might play a little bit deeper than he currently does.
