De Zerbi — hire or ignore? 2 PROS & 2 CONS — have your say in the comments, too

Liverpool have a big decision to make this summer. Who replaces Jurgen Klopp? One name being thrown around is that of Brighton gaffer Roberto De Zerbi.

The Italian coach has shown he can be a pragmatic and proactive tactician but there are some questions about him from what's been seen since he started coaching Brighton.

Here are some pros and cons of bringing De Zerbi to Liverpool.

Seductive style of play. De Zerbi's team averages between 55-65% ball possession per game. They enchant fans with their free-flowing football which often culminates in positive results.

Hyped by Guardiola. Getting a stamp of approval from arguably one of the best football managers in history should count for something. Pep said "De Zerbi is one of the managers he admires the most" in the modern game.

Seems like a pretty stubborn and rigid manager. De Zerbi sticks to his methods even when they blow up in his face. We've also seen him stubbornly use square pegs in round holes to suit his ideology.

His team concedes way too many goals. Brighton under De Zerbi have one of the most porous backlines in the Premier League. They concede a truckload of goals mostly from individual errors usually down to their team's style. Any team playing Brighton can count on getting at least a goal if they press aggressively.
