Liverpool drew with Man United at Old Trafford 2-2. The Reds were clearly the better side yet they allowed Man United back into the game and couldn't convert most of their chances.
“It's all our own fault, again,” Virgil van Dijk told Sky Sports post-match (h/t DaveOckop).
“We should have been 2-0 up at half time, at least. Created dangerous moments. We had them under control. It's just a shame. It definitely feels like a loss at this point.
“It's the [FA] Cup game again. The first half was better than what we played back then, we created chances and limited their chances but we know one moment can change the game. We should have finished it off but we didn't.”
Liverpool were knocked out of the FA Cup by the same opponent last month in similar circumstances. The Reds should have won that game easily judging by the number of chances they created but they ended up losing it.
