Trent Alexander-Arnold delivers verdict on Roberto De Zerbi amid rumoured Liverpool interest

Before Liverpool took on Brighton, Trent Alexander-Arnold was asked what made it so difficult to play against Roberto De Zerbi's team.

"They are well-drilled and know what they do, they believe in it and go and execute it," Trent started.

"They are confident in what they do and they don’t really care where they are or who they are playing against. They will play the way they are told to play and I think they are a team that likes to play out from the back and take risks.

"When it comes off, as a player playing against them it is really difficult. I said it last season they were probably the toughest opponent we played against, just incredibly difficult to try and press them and they will pick you apart and outnumber you in the middle.

"You don’t really know where to go and press them. I think obviously it is a little bit different for them in the way they have been playing, it’s going to be a difficult game. The lads know that and I am sure we have got a game plan to try and stop them."

Before the 2-1 win on Sunday, Liverpool could not defeat De Zerbi's team in four games. Even this match was not easy, as Brighton scored the opener after just one minute.

Now, the Italian manager is rumoured to be one of the potential candidates to replace Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season.
