Darwin Nunez to miss League Cup final — report

Injuries are stacking up at Liverpool, with Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones all ending up on the treatment table after the Brentford game.

And it looks like the Portuguese and the Uruguayan are set to miss the League Cup final against Chelsea this Sunday if journalist Dominik King is to be believed. The Englishman could still make the squad.

"I believe Jota is going to be out for two months, which could be huge," the Daily Mail reporter said on the It's All Kicking Off podcast. "Nunez a couple of weeks, Jones maybe a week. That’s what I’m led to be the case."

In addition to that, it's not clear for how long Alisson will be out, having picked up a hamstring injury before the Brentford game. And as per journalist Chris Bascombe, Thiago will miss 'a few weeks' with a muscle injury he picked up on his first appearance of the season against Arsenal.
