Liverpool rejected last-gasp Nottingham Forest offer for Kelleher transfer - fee revealed (reliability: 4 stars)

Liverpool received a late transfer offer from Nottingham Forest towards the end of the winter transfer window for the sale of Caoimhen Kelleher, claims the Daily Mail.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were willing to offer a fee of around £15m, but the Reds were not ready to sell him so late into the window.

Liverpool are valuing Kelleher at over £20m, and have noted James Trafford’s move from Man City to Burnley last summer for £19m as a reason for that.

The Republic of Ireland goalkeeper is highly rated at Anfield as the understudy to Alisson, and Jurgen Klopp aims to use him more as the season progresses.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper has made 12 appearances for Liverpool this season, in which he’s kept two clean sheets, and has played in the entirety of the Carabao Cup campaign en route to the final.
