FIFPRO, the football players' professional union, announced its nominees for World 11 in 2023.
The candidates were selected by 28,000 professional footballers around the world who rated their peers' performances between December 19, 2022, and August 20, 2023.
Liverpool were not outstanding in that period, so, understandably, they are only represented by Virgil van Dijk in the 23-man shortlist.
