'If he was a horse he’d be shot': What Celtic fans think of Nat Phillips

Nat Phillips is set to come back to Liverpool in the winter window. The defender has made just eight appearances for Celtic as his loan deal was a way for Brendan Rodgers' side to deal with an injury crisis.

The Englishman is expected to be sent out on another loan. The Reds are also expected to do the same with Rhys Williams, who's made zero league appearances at Aberdeen.

So we've taken a look at what Celtic fans say about the 26-year-old and it's not a good reading if we're honest.

Holden Caulfield: "That Nat Phillips is genuinely the worst CB i can remember seeing at Celtic, wild he’s at Liverpool. An absolute donkey."

Peter Dickson: "I’m just glad we don’t have to see Nat Phillips pretend to be a footballer too"

Lee Fitzpatrick: "Nat Phillips is the worst player to ever play in a Celtic jersey. Horrendous"

Paul: "If Nat Phillips was a horse he’d be shot"

Conor: "Liverpool finally getting their revenge for 2003 by lumping us with Nat Phillips. Absolute donkey"

Cheeta 13: "I don't know whose idea it was at the club to ditch Nat Phillips for Joe Rodon... but I will love you forever...more than you believe!!!"

Dave: "How Nat Phillips ever got a Liverpool contract is a fucking miracle. He is fucking abysmal."

So at least according to these fans, Phillips is not at Celtic level. And the fact he's become a cult hero at Liverpool shows how good Jurgen Klopp is, not the defender's real level.

As a Liverpool fan nicknamed LFCJ summed up: "We got top 4 with this absolute donut [Rhys] playing next to Nat Phillips and Assna fans will try tell you no Saliba is the reason they couldn’t beat Southampton at home or West Ham away."
