Managerless Spurs confirm key player to miss Anfield clash v Liverpool

Tottenham Hotspur have changed managers twice this season. First, they sacked Antonio Conte and hired his assistant Christain Stellini. This week, they sacked Stellini to hire his assistant Ryan Mason.

It's fair to say that Spurs are managerless as Mason is only a stop-gap before they hire a permanent gaffer.

Mason has confirmed that Spurs will be without their captain Hugo Lloris when they visit Anfield on Sunday.

"Hugo won't be available for Sunday," Mason said.

"The other injuries we assess day by day. The lads haven’t trained yet – they’ve just reported now – and we’re going to see how they’re feeling in terms of training this afternoon and tomorrow leading into the game.”

Former Southampton goalie Fraser Forster will stand in for Lloris who conceded five before being withdrawn at half-time in Spurs' 6-1 defeat at Newcastle last Sunday.
