'He is someone who is open to others': Idrissa Gueye representatives deny homophobia accusations

Idrissa Gueye's alleged refusal to play against Montpellier in a special rainbow shirt last week has led to accusations of homophobia.

The 32-year-old's entourage told Le Parisien: "Everyone who knows Idrissa knows that he is not homophobic. Rather, he is someone who is open to others."

Paris Saint-Germain wore special rainbow shirts in the 4–0 win against Montpellier on Sunday to celebrate the International Day Against Homophobia.

Gueye missed the game with sources suggesting that the midfielder's absence was down to him refusing to put on the rainbow-coloured shirt.
