6 Barca players nominated for La Liga Team of the Season — 8 more from Real Madrid

La Liga have unveiled their Team of the Season nominees this year. It features six players from Barcelona:

Frenkie De Jong, Ilkay Gundogan, Ronald Araujo, Joao Cancelo, Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal.

Meanwhile, eight Real Madrid players were nominated for the TOTS — Andriy Lunin, Antonio Rüdiger, Dani Carvajal, Toni Kroos, Jude Bellingham, Fede Valverde, Vini Jr. and Rodrygo.

The big surprise is that Ter Stegen has been overlooked in the goalkeeper category. The German goalie has not missed out on a TOTS nomination in the last two campaigns.
