Barcelona changes 'transfer policy' amidst economic crisis

Barcelona have changed their transfer policy amidst growing financial limitations and economic crisis at the club, per Sport.

Barca will no longer lavish money on expensive players who are already established and in the twilight of their careers. Instead, the Blaugrana will focus on signing top talents who are yet to blossom like Noah Darvich and Mikayil Faye.

It's a method that has worked for the club in the past as they found players like Pedri, Ronald Araujo and Ansu Fati, who was poached from Sevilla.

Deco is the man driving Barca's new transfer strategy and will help the club save money by 'catching them young'.

However, this doesn't mean Barca will not attempt to sign any top player. The club will only target differential players who will immediately improve their squad in lacking positions like a defensive midfielder. Still, Barca will not go overboard in terms of spending.

This new strategy puts Barca out of the race for someone like Erling Haaland as the club will keep depending on Robert Lewandowski while focusing on helping Vitor Roque come good.
