'Haven't we learned anything?': Barca fans have their say on whether Lamine Yamal deserves to wear no. 10

Most Barcelona fans believe it's too early to give Lamine Yamal the iconic no. 10 shirt, even though he has the potential to carry it in the future.

💭 Femi Akinsola: "Yamal is certainly good enough to take the no. 10 shirt. But I'd wait another season or two before piling such a load of pressure on him."

💭 Akinloye Taiwo: "This is a very serious issue. If the boy wears it, it will be a burden upon him. Messi didn't take that shirt number at age 20 – he took it 21 when Ronaldinho left."

💭 Rogerw Wallace: "Haven't we learned anything? Ansu is a mere shadow of himself at the moment. That pressure of wearing the number 10 jersey is partly responsible for it."

💭 Viktormark Noli: "That number STILL belongs to Leo Messi. Barca were wrong to give it to Ansu Fati. Someone should earn the right to wear it first."

The no. 10 belongs to Ansu Fati who is on loan at Brighton until the end of the season. However, Barcelona reportedly plan to offload the 21-year-old this summer which would make the iconic jersey available.

Lamine Yamal currently wears no. 27 which is not a first-team number. He is likely to get promoted next season.
