Barcelona set sights on Premier League midfielder to replace Busquets -- not Gundogan or Neves

Barcelona are on the lookout for Sergio Busquets' successor. The reinforcement of the pivot position is the Blaugrana's 'absolute priority' for the summer.

There are plenty of candidates for the role, with Martin Zubimendi and Ilkay Gundogan reportedly being the favourites for the position.

According to Fabrizio Romano, however, there's a new name on the agenda and that is Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes.

The Brazilian's racked up an impressive ten goals and six assists for the Premier League side this season. He has become an important element in the Magpies' set-up and contributed a lot to their top-four finish.

However, landing Guimaraes at Camp Nou - or rather Montjuic - would be a complicated matter, as per the source. The player is under the contract at Newcastle until 2026 and won't be sold for anything less than €70m.
