Blaugrana flop Andre Gomes describes his two-year spell at Barca as 'highest point' of his career

Remember Andre Gomes? The Portuguese midfielder has recently opened up on his two-year spell at the Camp Nou stadium.

Marca quote Gomes as saying: "Being at Barcelona was the highest point of my career, I'm very thankful to the club. Playing with all those amazing players made me learn so much. Wherever I go, I'll take Barcelona with me."

Andre Gomes joined Barcelona from Valencia for €37million in the summer of 2016. The midfielder managed just three goals and four assists in 78 matches across two seasons at the Camp Nou stadium.

Nevertheless, Gomes won four trophies with the Catalan giants:

  • La Liga: 2017-2018;
  • Copa del Rey: 2016-2017, 2017-2018;
  • Spanish Supercopa: 2017.

The Portuguese was sold to Everton after an initial loan spell for €25million last year.

This season, the 25-year-old has made 12 appearances for the Blues. He missed 15 matches due to a horrible ankle injury.
