Mauricio Pochettino admits that he remains in the dark about his future at Chelsea, but he does not appreciate the media reports that the club will decide his fate in the summer.
"If I have one more year on my contract here and no one says anything, then I suppose that I am going to be here," said Pochettino.
"If there's a decision and someone says to me 'ciao', okay. But because we don't know at the moment, then I suppose that I will be here.
"But enough of these stupid rumours. You need to ask the club, whether the club wants me to keep going or not. And stop writing things that make no sense.
"It should be enough that we prove after this season and this situation that we deserve to be here next season. Who is going to judge me? We need to judge ourselves."
It does make sense, though, that Chelsea will take stock of Pochettino's record in his first year at Stamford Bridge and decide if they want to retain him for another season.
A strong finish to the campaign would help Pochettino's case, especially if Chelsea secure a place in the European competitions.
