'I'd work tomorrow': Mourinho on plans to return to work after AS Roma sacking

It may not be the biggest possibility, but Jose Mourinho keeps getting linked to the Chelsea job. It's not totally surprising, he's the club legend after all.

Speaking with broadcasters at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the Portuguese manager confirmed that he was in active search for a new job.

"I'm not in rest mode," he revealed to beIN Sports. "I want to work. I just don't want to make the wrong decision. I have to wait for the right one and the one that motivates me. If I could work tomorrow, I would work tomorrow."

Speaking to Sky Sports, he added: "I hope [to be back managing soon]. Roma was great to get to two European finals in two years and that's hard. But now I have to wait for the right opportunity. I want to work tomorrow if possible, but I don't want to make the wrong decision."

Mourinho was saved from Roma in his third season with the Italian club, so he's theoretically available.

His management style would not be a good fit with the current Chelsea regime as they have focused on signing young talent rather than proven players.
