Chelsea want Alphonso Davies — but have a Plan B if Canadian doesn't join

Journalist Ben Jacobs reports that Chelsea are keen on signing a new left back. The Blues are keen on Bayern's Alphonso Davies and are also monitoring Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez.

In the same report, Jacobs adds that Chelsea are likely to sell Ian Maatsen and Lewis Hall in the summer. The Dutchman's release clause is £35m while the Englishman's loan contract with Newcastle includes an obligation to buy for £28m.

Maatsen and Hall aside, left-backs Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella remain on the club's books.

Real Madrid have been consistently linked with a move for Davies. Spanish source Diario Sport say that Los Blancos see Chelsea as a serious rival for the Canadian.
