"Is the VAR working properly?" AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli asked in a post-match interview after his side lost to Chelsea 2-0 at San Siro.

"I don't think it was the referee's best evening tonight, that's without a doubt."

Fikayo Tomori conceded a penalty in the 18th minute as he fouled Mason Mount in the box. The defender was sent off, apparently for denying Mase a clear goalscoring opportunity.
