An injury to first-choice goalkeeper Ederson forced Guardiola to bring on Ortega in the 69th minute of the game against Tottenham on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old made a vital save to deny Son in a one-on-one minutes before the final whistle to keep the score 1–0, crushing Arsenal's hopes.
