Arsenal have been strongly linked with signing Everton midfielder Amadou Onana this year.

A defensive midfielder by trade, Onana has appeared 16 times in the Premier League this season and even chipped in with a goal.

Arsenal already have Declan Rice and Thomas Partey for that position but the latter's future is uncertain. And relying on just Rice is risky as Arsenal need someone who can back him up.

Enter Onana, who is young and also Premier League-proven - two things difficult to come by.

However, according to David Ornstein, nothing is brewing between both sides.

When asked about Arsenal signing Onana during a Q&A session for The Athletic, he simply replied: "No talks between clubs."
