'I didn't know what I was doing': Ben White explains how he pulled off piece of trickery v Man City

Speaking on his nutmeg on Jeremy Doku, Ben White said: "I was so tired, I just wanted to waste a bit of time, but he caught me up so quickly.

"I turned and he was right on top of me. The pass I was going to play was cut off. It just came to me, I didn't really know what I was doing. I got rid of it as quick as I could after.

"I've been on the other end of it too," he adds.

White may have been exhausted and was merely trying to buy time. However, his confidence to pull off that skill at that critical time earned him plaudits.

The Englishman can try his luck again against Chelsea tomorrow.
