'They will get a right top player': pundit urges Arsenal to land Scottish Premiership top scorer Odsonne Edouard

Celtic won their ninth Scottish Premiership title in a row as the football season up north was cancelled due to the global health crisis. Arsenal, in turn, could make second signing from Hoops in a row after landing Kieran Tierney last August.

That will happen if at least some of the rumours linking the Gunners with Odsonne Edouard are true. Rangers icon Ally McCoist reckons Arsenal will get a world-class striker if they buy the 22-year-old.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

"The telltale sign, I'm reading a few of the Celtic boys, and they are coming out and asking him not to move, to wait another year," he told talkSPORT as cited by the Daily Record.

"No way, I'm clearly of the opposite opinion, get him away, and if he goes to Leicester or Arsenal, I tell you what, they will be getting a right top player."

He's already the best in the Scottish Premiership:

Earlier, Thierry Henry was asked to share an opinion on Edouard and the legendary striker is full of praise for his countryman.

Charlie Nicholas is adamant the 22-year-old will leave Scotland for a better league this summer.

"Some people are suggesting he'll stay on next season as Celtic go in search of 10 titles in a row," said the ex-Gunner.

"People up north get so bogged down by it, but Edouard is now reaching a side of his career at 22 where he will be looking at who are interested in signing him."
