Antonio Rudiger has been immense for Real Madrid this season, particularly in the Champions League where Real Madrid are in the semi-final.

Rudiger was brilliant from the group stages where he stopped Napoli super striker Victor Osimhen from having a sniff at the Real Madrid goal across two legs.

In the round of 16, it was the turn of Benjamin Sesko to suffer at the hands of Rudiger. The powerful RB Leipzig striker was shackled for two legs as Real Madrid held on to eliminate the German team. Although Rudiger missed the first leg he was tremendous in the second as Real Madrid struggled for a 1-1 draw to go through.

Erling Haaland only recovered from the Rudiger challenge last weekend. The Norwegian goal machine picked nothing but an injury from facing Rudiger in the Champions League quarter-final. Rudiger rubbed it in by smashing home the winning penalty to eliminate Man City.

Harry Kane is next in the semi-final as Real Madrid faces Bayern. Every Madridista would be hoping that Rudiger will again be just as ruthless in dealing with a striker who has scored 42 goals in 41 games this season.
