Ancelotti wanted ONE Bayern player at Real Madrid - Florentino Perez said NO

Real Madrid already had their sight set on Kylian Mbappe so much so that they did not pivot to a Plan B.

The Spanish club reportedly ignored the claims of their manager Carlo Ancelotti to go after Harry Kane.

Real Madrid wanted to reserve funds to pursue Mbappe who becomes a free agent this summer.

As a result, no high-price striker was accepted to replace Karim Benzema, who left for Saudi Arabia.

Los Blancos instead went for an economical Joselu, who isn’t on the level of Kane. The Englishman would join Bayern Munich. 

Despite Bayern's underwhelming campaign, Kane has been involved in over 50 goals. He comes up against Real Madrid on Tuesday in the Champions League.
