'Unbelievable': Julian Nagelsmann reacts to Toni Kroos' first Germany appearance in 3 years

"Unbelievable, to be honest," Julian Nagelsmann has told the media when asked about Toni Kroos' outing against France.

"With the ball, we all know that he is an extraordinary player. But also how he got involved in duels.

"He's quite a normal guy and integrates into the group. That’s very good," Germany's boss added.

Kroos was arguably the best player on the pitch in the friendly. He provided one assist, completed 121 out of 128 passes (including four long balls) and won almost all of his duels.

This was the 34-year-old's first appearance for Germany since 2021 when he retired from international football. Germany beat France 2-0.
