Real Madrid confirm Courtois injury, recovery date revealed

Real Madrid have confirmed that Thibaut Courtois has suffered another fairly serious knee injury.

"After the tests carried out today on our player Thibaut Courtois, he has been diagnosed with a torn internal meniscus in his right knee. The injury occurred during today's training session," a club statement said.

The injury is not as serious as the first one Courtois suffered at the start of the season and it didn't happen on the same knee.

However, the injury is bad enough to rule the goalkeeper out for the rest of the season as he will need a minimum of two months to recover, multiple sources say.

Real Madrid will trust Andriy Lunin to remain the first-choice keeper until the end of the season with Kepa as his backup.
