Sergio Ramos was hoping to get a call from Real Madrid when Eder Militao suffered his ACL injury last summer, Marca's Jose Felix reveals.
Ramos never got that call from the club leaving the Spanish legend disappointed with the club.
However, Ramos was eventually contacted by Sevilla two weeks after that injury by Militao. The legend obliged and returned to his former stomping ground.
Ramos will play again at the Santiago Bernabeu when Real Madrid hosts Sevilla this Sunday, February 25.
Reports say Real Madrid are preparing a small ceremony to honour the legend before the game. It is said that Ramos already contacted ex-teammates like Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez ahead of his return to the Bernabeu.
Ramos is not slowing down even at the age of 37. He has five goals and one assist in his 24 appearances for Sevilla this season. The Spanish veteran has also helped a struggling Sevilla side record five clean sheets.
