Villarreal denied goal vs Barca due to cheesy offside call — apparently Real Madrid paid for that too

Villarreal have been robbed of a legitimate goal in their game against Barcelona at the Olympic Stadium.

The Yellow Submarines scored via Gerard Moreno after a superb buildup but the referee whistled for a cheesy offside after deeming a Villarreal player who was offside was interfering with play. That wasn't the case though.

Surprisingly, VAR checked and decided to uphold the on-pitch decision by the referee.
