Martin Odegaard has recommended Real Madrid to sign his compatriot Kristoffer Ajer, Mundo Deportivo understand.
The Norwegian defender currently plays for Celtic and could be viewed as a future Sergio Ramos replacement.
However, apart from playing at centre-back, Ajer is known for his ability to play on the right and even in defensive midfield. As a reminder, Sergio Ramos was often used on the right after he joined Real Madrid in the mid-2000s.
The 22-year-old is valued at just €2.7m by Transfermarkt. However, let's not forget that Virgil van Dijk, who also played for Celtic earlier, was sold for a modest sum four years before he became a world-class defender.
If Real Madrid actually go for the move, we could see the club forming an ultimate trio of Norwegians: Ajer, Odegaard and Erling Haaland if the latter agrees to join the Whites in a year or two.
