'He has everything a world-class striker needs': Madrid-linked Raul Jimenez earns ultimate praise from Ilkay Gundogan

Real Madrid target Raul Jimenez deserves a chance at any of European top clubs, according to Man City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.

"I think he has everything a world-class striker needs," Gundogan told ESPN of the Wolves striker. "For a striker, he is so mobile, but also physically so good and talented technically on the ball. I can imagine him playing with us.

"Maybe [he's] not on that level yet, but he reminds me a little bit of Lewandowski because I've played with him. In terms of style, I think there is still a lot of potential.

"It's so difficult to predict but I think [Jimenez] would get a chance in every single top-six team and there's a good possibility he could do well."

Zinedine Zidane reportedly views the Mexican as a 'perfect partner' for Karim Benzema amid Luka Jovic's struggles during his debut season at the Bernabeu.

The 29-year-old recently opened the door to a Real Madrid switch as he refused to rule out his exit from Molineux.

Jimenez has scored 39 and set up 18 goals in 88 appearances for the Wanderers since joining the Premier League outfit from Benfica in 2018.

This season, Raul has scored 22 goals in 44 appearances for Wolves. He's out of contract in 2023. Transfermarkt value him at €40m.
