It's been reported that the match against Club Brugge might become the first time Mauricio Pochettino starts Leo Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe together.
However, the good news ends there as Paris Saint-Germain still miss several players through injury. With that in mind, here are some of Pochettino's line-up options for the opening Champions League match of the season.
Option 1
PSG XI: Donnarumma - Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Diallo - Danilo, Herrera, Wijnaldum - Messi, Mbappe, Neymar.
Since Mbappe was the one to lead the attack against Clermont, he's the most likely option to occupy the no.9 spot if the coach gives a try to the MNM trio.
As for the other positions on the pitch, Wijnaldum might be the one to replace the suspended Idrissa Gueye. As for the rest, the same players as against Clermont might be given a go.
Option 2
We don't know what Pochettino's plans on Messi are, and it's not excluded that the Argentine will try Leo at centre-forward, as there have been rumours about it. Mbappe is great on the right wing, so it should be no problem.
Draxler, who has been very decent at the start of the season, could be given a chance in midfield ahead of Wijnaldum. Similarly, Kehrer is an option to replace Kimpembe who has been on and off in 2021/22.
Finally, if the coach intends to constantly rotate between Navas and Donnarumma, this would be the Costa Rican's turn to start.
Option 3
PSG XI: Donnarumma - Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Mendes - Herrera, Wijnaldum - Mbappe, Messi, Neymar - Icardi.
If you can't decide who to play at no.9 between Messi and Mbappe, just switch to a 4-2-3-1 and use Icardi as your striker, simple!
Wijnaldum and Herrera could play in a double pivot as they both have experience of doing so. Finally, Nuno Mendes could be trusted with a start at left-back ahead of make-shift full-back Diallo.
