Amad Diallo produced an excellent performance for Man United to help them to the 3-2 win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford.
He assisted Kobbie Mainoo’s goal with a slick pass and then scored an amazing goal in the second half to bamboozle the Magpies.
Amad now has two goal contributions in the Premier League this season. That is exactly the same number of contributions as Antony has managed all campaign long.
The Brazilian winger has also scored one goal and provided one assist in the league this season. But Amad has not needed 29 appearances to do so.
Indeed, Diallo has tied Antony’s goal contributions tally in only eight appearances – 21 games fewer than the Brazilian winger.
Amad will hope that this excellent performance can convince Erik ten Hag to keep playing him regularly and start him in the FA Cup final against Man City.
