Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane bid adieu to the Old Trafford faithful for the final time as Man United players after the 3-2 win over Newcastle United.
After the game, the two Frenchmen did a lap of honour around the stadium to say goodbye to the fans and take in the amazing atmosphere of the stadium.
Martial was fortunate enough to hear the fans sing his ‘Anthony Martial comes from France’ chant and also interacted with some fans at the Stretford End.
Varane was overwhelmed by emotions on the day. He took a ‘selfie’ with the Stretford End fans. Then after everyone left, the centre-back sat on the Old Trafford pitch all by himself soaking it all in for the last time.
Martial and Rapha also took pictures with some of their Man United buddies at Old Trafford for the last time. Both will leave the club on July 1 once their contracts expire.
