Did Ten Hag really storm out of press conference after Bournemouth draw? Answered

Erik ten Hag has come under some criticism for something he did after Man United’s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth.

After the game, the Dutchman fulfilled his duties of taking part in the post-match press conference.

However, a clip became viral of him seemingly walking away in digust from the press conference after being asked about Man United’s risk of missing out on a top-7 finish in the Premier League.

A lot of fans felt that Ten Hag disrespectfully had stormed out of the press conference and a sign that he was starting to lose his grip on the situation at Old Trafford.

However, many journalists who were in place at the conference – like BBC Radio’s Gaz Drinkwater – has explained the right context to the entire thing.

Drinkwater tweeted soon after this clip started going viral: “Bit of context around this. The press conference had already ended just before this question. Erik was halfway off his seat as it was asked.”

Man United’s sources have also reportedly noted that Ten Hag felt that the press conference was already done, which is why he departed the situation like that.

The gaffer is under pressure after failing to guide Man United to a win in their last four games and the FA Cup semi-final game against Coventry City is now a must-win situation.
