Erik ten Hag has delivered some gutting update on the state of his Man United backline after the 4-3 loss to Chelsea.
That is because both Raphael Varane AND Jonny Evans got injured in the match, with youngster Willy Kambwala finishing it.
After the game, the gaffer was asked to give an update on those two and told Sky Sports: "This (injuries) doesn't help with managing the game. I don't know if Evans and Varane will be able to play against Liverpool."
Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof have already been ruled out of the game after suffering injuries recently.
This means that Man United could potentially have to play against Liverpool with a centre-back partnership of Harry Maguire and young Kambwala - or Ten Hag might have to play someone like Casemiro or Aaron Wan-Bissaka as a centre-back.
