Roy Keane believes Ten Hag will be sacked 'in next few months' after post-Wigan interview

Roy Keane was not happy with Erik ten Hag alluding to the fact that Manchester United performed well in the 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic.

The Red Devils are through to the next round in the FA Cup but the win was far from flawless. Man United had plenty of opportunities to win by a higher margin but simply couldn't take it.

Ten Hag's post-match comments didn't make things any better and Keano called him out for it.

The Man United legend was asked if Ten Hag can establish an identity on the field. Roy said on ITV: "No, not really.

"I think that’s the problem with United, you know what you’re going to get when you turn up.

"The manager there mentions the 'project' – it probably means he’ll be gone in the next few months.

"This dreaded word 'project'. No, I didn’t see it tonight with United and I’ve not seen it for the last few months.

"But, again, they’re in the next round and it’s an easy draw the next time round, but you need a better level of performance. And the chances they made tonight, you always expect more."

We have heard Ten Hag's predecessors Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick use the word 'project' to describe the massive overhaul needed at Man United.

However, it is unfortunate that we have not seen any notable changes even under Ten Hag.
