Man United suffered a damning 2-1 loss to Nottingham Forest in their final game of 2023 in the Premier League.
However, the match was not free from controversy and there was one heated moment in the second half that had fans talking.
Around the 56th-minute mark, Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White showed unnecessary aggression in making multiple rough fouls in a space of a few minutes.
After his horrible double-tackles, Gibbs-White got booked by the referee but continued to disrespectfully keep yelling at the official.
However, the referee did not pay any attention to that and instead booked Diogo Dalot when he just approached to talk to him about the opposition player’s dissent.
This is a clear case of double standards compared to how the Portuguese defender was sent off against Liverpool for showing a similar case of dissent.
To add insult to injury, Gibbs-White would go on to score the winner for Forest in the game.
