Speaking to the Daily Mail, Danny Murphy said: "It's always difficult to second-guess Pep Guardiola but I assume he plays his strongest team with Ruben Dias and John Stones in the middle of defence.
"Then, Manchester United need genuine pace at centre-forward to unsettle them. We know that Stones likes to step into midfield so if Man United want to get a turnover, they need to exploit Dias one-against-one.
"Anthony Martial isn't quicker than Dias and Wout Weghorst is barely quicker than my mum, so that means Marcus Rashford down the middle. He'll make Stones think twice about pushing forward.
"Erik ten Hag has the luxury of having a ready-made replacement on the left if he moves Rashford inside — Alejandro Garnacho is a natural winger who can catch pigeons. Ten Hag might take this approach but I'm not sure."
Man United face Manchester City in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday, June 3 as they look to deny Guardiola's side a shot at the historic Treble.
As for Weghorst, the Dutch striker is set to return to Burnley next month when his loan spell expires despite Ten Hag's full faith in the 30-year-old.
