Speaking about Roy Keane branding Brazil’s dancing celebrations in their 4-1 win over South Korea as ‘disrespectful’, Lucas Paqueta said: “The dance is a representation of our joy after scoring a goal.
“We don’t do it to disrespect anyone, we don’t do it in front of our opponents. We all get together to celebrate. If they don’t like it, there’s not much to say.
“We’ll keep scoring goals and keep dancing. This is a group that is happy to score, to get the victory and the goals.”
Keane has received a lot of criticism for his outburst towards Brazil’s celebratons, which also included their manager Tite dancing with his players.
The criticism around their celebration is unlikely to affect Brazil’s mindset, as they look to go all the way to winning their sixth World Cup title.
