Guardiola takes bizarre dig at United during James Milner red card rant

Pep Guardiola was furious after Man City’s 2-2 draw against Liverpool and adamant that James Milner should’ve been sent off.

The Liverpool midfielder was on a yellow card when he made a reckless foul on Bernardo Silva in the second half, but didn’t see another yellow for it.

When discussing that after the game, he told Sky Sports: “It’s a yellow card. It’s a yellow card. It’s clear. It’s Anfield, it’s Old Trafford. In our situation a City player is sent off. It’s too much clear. It was a second yellow.”

A Man United fan was swift to shut down Pep’s rant, giving a very recent example of when City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne wasn’t sent off for a horrible tackle on Idrissa Gueye in the loss to PSG last week.

The draw between City and Liverpool means that the Red Devils are tied on points with Guardiola’s side heading into the International break and two points behind league leaders Chelsea.
