'We didn't concede many chances today, we got out-muscled': Ole reacts to Everton draw

"Part of it was really good," Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told BT Sport in the post-match interview.

"I thought we started well, high energy, created some good openings and scored a fantastic goal — second half we lacked that cutting edge to get the second, which is vital in a game like this.

"We gave them a few counter-attacks. I know that we had the ball most of the time. They didn't play through us at all really, they counter-attacked.

"The same on Wednesday night [against Villarreal]. We need to be better at when to risk it, how not to be counter-attacked."

The Manchester United boss continued: "We weren't too open [for Everton's goal]. We had players behind the ball but we didn't deal with the ball when we had tackles when we should have had.

"Good goal from them but when they counter on one side, the finish is going to happen on the other side.

"We didn't concede many chances today, but we conceded a goal. We had to deal with one or two moments and we didn't, in that counter-attack. We got out-muscled. We should've cleared it of course, but that's in every game in the Premier League."

The Red Devils bagged the lead via an Anthony Martial goal but Andros Townsend equalised for the visitors in the second half.
