Mo Salah wants new Liverpool deal (reliability: 4 stars)

David Lynch reports that Mohamed Salah wants Liverpool to offer him a contract extension for at least a year. The Egyptian's current deal runs out in 2025.

It's not certain that this proposal is coming though. The Reds are open to letting him go on a free transfer after the end of the next season.

The 31-year-old backs himself to play at the highest level for as long as possible. His priority is to stay at Liverpool over moving to Saudi Arabia.

This season, Salah has scored 17 goals and provided nine assists in 29 Premier League appearances so far. He is the highest-earning player at the club on £350,000 per week.
