Romano reports Amorim unlikely to become West Ham manager

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Sporting manager Ruben Amorim's future after he flew to England to speak with West Ham.

The manager is now not expected to become West Ham boss but Liverpool remains an option.

"Rúben Amorim update," wrote Romano. "Understand after the initial round of talks, it’s highly unlikely to see Amorim as the new West Ham manager.

"Discussions are not expected to advance after the meeting in London.Talks on stand-by with Liverpool since last week."

Romano also confirmed that Amorim will keep his options open.
