Van Dijk, Fabinho's availability uncertain: Team news ahead of Spurs clash

Liverpool are scheduled to face Tottenham on Sunday, a team that hasn't played in nearly two weeks.

Here's a look at the team news for both clubs following Friday's press conferences from both managers.

Liverpool

Thankfully, the Reds are facing no new injury concerns after the Newcastle clash, in which Naby Keita and Bobby Firmino both earned valuable minutes.

Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho and Curtis Jones all are being tested for Covid-19, with Jurgen Klopp explaining that the process is ongoing, meaning their health for this encounter remains a question mark.

Nat Phillips and Harvey Elliott both remain sidelined with longer term injuries, but Divock Origi could be back after missing 2 games with a minor strain.

Tottenham

Spurs last played on December 5th and following a Covid-19 outbreak, Antonio Conte has explained that he will be cautious in managing the returning players.

Giovanni Lo Celso has returned to training for Spurs, while Sergio Reguilon is also slated to make his comeback.

Cristian Romero remains sidelined, but there is no further injury news coming out of the Spurs camp as of now.

However it shakes out, the Reds will be hoping to continue their good form with another win over Conte's side.
