New Mbappe rumours, Shaq nears exit & more: Liverpool's latest transfer round-up with probability ratings

There's less than 2 weeks to go this transfer window - while the Reds have been linked with several midfielders across the window, no official bid has been sent in for anyone yet.

Tribuna.com has compiled a list of some of these transfer rumours, arranged from least likely to come/leave to the highest.

However, we must mention that any incoming signings will depend on who the Reds can manage to offload before the season ends. Jurgen Klopp said recently: "If you want to buy such players, you have to spend a lot of money. We do not have to do that, because the players are already here.

"You have to make changes from time to time, but then there must be room to do it. We do not want more players. If something happens somewhere, something can happen somewhere else, but it makes no sense to add more players."

With that in mind, here's your transfer roundup with everything you need to know about the Reds' transfer activity:

INs

Probability of arrival: Zero to 40%

Manuel Locatelli: Locatelli has been linked with a move away from Sassuolo throughout the summer, with La Gazzetta dello Sport crediting the Reds with some interest too. However, as per Fabrizio Romano, the Italian only wants a move to Juventus so this one can be ruled out.

Harvey Barnes: As per The Athletic, Liverpool expressed interest in the attacking midfielder. However, Barnes is now going to sign a new long-term deal with Leicester as no formal bid was sent in.

Kylian Mbappe: Liverpool have been monitoring Mbappe through Jurgen Klopp, as per Le10sport. Klopp has already called him, several times. There's an 'excellent feeling' between the two men, as per the report. Moreover, reliable French sources claim that Mbappe wants to leave PSG and Messi's arrival has not changed that.

However, we would not keep our fingers crossed for this one as Mbappe is more likely to move to Real Madrid as per more reliable reports.

Renato Sanches: Sanches will not be transferred this summer as he has picked up a knee injury that will need surgery, as per L'Equipe.

Ilaix Moriba: Barca's youngster has refused to sign a new deal with the club and 90min have linked him with a Premier League move, with Liverpool named as one of the targets.

Pedro Neto: He was named as one of the attackers Liverpool are interested in by Neil Jones. However, we've not read reports of the interest materialising into a bid.

Probability of arrival: 40 to 60%

Saul Niguez: As per Mundo Deportivo, there has been no formal bid for Saul from any club despite Man United, Chelsea, & Liverpool being interested in him. As things stand, Saul is set to stay with Atletico - we won't rule this one out yet, however, as a late sale could prompt this transfer to happen on the last days.

Jarrod Bowen: Neil Jones of Goal.com said that Bowen has 'admirers' within the Reds. However, no bid has been sent in yet. Given that he is a homegrown player and has Premier League experience, however, there is still a small chance that this move could happen.

Jeremy Doku: Reliable journalist Sacha Tavolieri said: "I can confirm Liverpool are targeting Doku and that if everything goes well, they will go further with Rennes. They are already in touch with their sports agency regarding him but they need to make space (by selling players) before making an offer." We'll have to wait and see if this deal can happen.

OUTs

Chance of leaving: Zero to 40%

Neco Williams: The Athletic claim that Neco is likely to leave this summer with the Reds just waiting for a good offer for the right-back. However, Paul Gorst of the Liverpool Echo said that the Reds are happy to keep Neco if he doesn't force a move - they won't let him go for less than around £10m. Neco's strong performances in preseason have also helped his cause to stay here.

Naby Keita: Rumours have been circulating across the summer of a possible exit, with ESPN's Mark Ogden claiming a move can be made as Keita's deal expires in 2023. However, there is no chance of this happening right now as Keita even started the last Premier League game.

Harvey Elliott: The Reds have 'no plans' to loan out Elliott and he is expected to get more playing time this season.

Chance of leaving: 40 to 60%

Divock Origi: Origi is on the radar of Wolves, Crystal Palace and West Ham in the final two weeks of the transfer window, as per the Daily Telegraph. He started for the Reds in the preseason friendly against Villa and it's still unclear if he has a future here - this one could go down to the wire.

Chance of leaving: Over 60%

Loris Karius: The goalkeeper is leaving for sure, but no club has been named as a destination yet. The Reds would prefer a permanent deal as Karius has spent the last two seasons out on loan - it's just a matter of where he goes right now.

Nat Phillips: Liverpool are yet to receive any ‘suitable offers’ for the centre-back, according to The Athletic’s James Pearce. However, Pearce believes that Phillips will leave the club before the deadline as there are currently 4 centre-backs ahead of him in the pecking order.

Xherdan Shaqiri: The Swiss winger said that Liverpool won't stand in his way and he aims to go back to Serie A, with Lazio a preferred destination. However, according to the reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Shaqiri has reportedly already agreed on personal terms with Lyon.

There is still no agreement between the two clubs, however, with Lyon still only offering €6m with add-ons - the Reds want €8m. It is still very likely that Shaq does leave as he was not named in the matchday squad recently.
